Victorian Greengrocer

Well chaps, here it is…our Home. This is the only picture I seem to be able to upload. We adore this place and all its history. When we first bought it we were told it was the old Mine Hospital, on further investigation we have found that it was the Greengrocers. He used to sell his veg from the two front windows which had a metal flap which would be propped open when it was open. These windows (and all the others) will be replaced with French doors and it will eventually have a veranda right the way around. Even the standard Rose is ancient, and is still standing and giving us masses of deep fuchsia blooms. As you can see there is a lot to do still (thats another post) to the outside but we still get about 3 cars a week stopping to take photos so we aren’t in a raging hurry..it will do for a while. Ness xx
