M&L at Evandale

Thank goodness that is over!
These last few weeks have been chaotic trying to get everything ready for the markets at Evandale yesterday as well as keeping up with all the orders for the Etsy Shoppe.
Here are some of the photos of our stall. My Christmas ‘tree’ seemed to be a hit and I sold lots of my clay tags and the little fabric hearts…some people even bought some and went home to make their own tree! The photos are a little shady because I took this while we were setting up in the morning and we were squished in this little space behind a big veggie van and a shaded cake stall…never mind.
I had made up a lot of new covers for these markets which I quite like, so some of them have made it to my Etsy store and there are still more to list.
Do you like my old suitcase I found for $2.00?
Here is one of the new covers that I have listed on Etsy.
I didn’t do this market alone. Joelee my friend who makes gorgeous paper anythings (basically anything you want in paper craft she can do) brought some of her items along as well like these cute 3D gift tags and the Christmas silhouette frames. If you would like to contact Joelee you can by clicking HERE.

This shot is from very early in the morning while we were still unpacking (you can still see the boxes etc in the background) it changed a little after this shot. All in all we had a nice day, and seeing this was our first market stall, learnt what to do for next time (like more tables, longer tablecloth etc). The main thing was to get the product out there and make some connections for the Barn Store.
It has begun….

  • That looks great you have taken a lot of care with the presentation, which suprisingly many people at these markets do not! The tree is a great idea. Well done you.

  • My dream for years has been to open a baby boutique, and seeing this made me so inspired to get it going. In the Spring here we have lots of arts and local craft festivals, and every year that passes I say I wish I had a booth. This really shows me that I need to just get going and do it before the grass starts to turn green again! Thanks for the inspiration 🙂

  • Aura,
You really need to do it. It is a great opportunity to get feedback on your products, make contacts, get mailing lists organised etc etc. That was the main reason I was there.
Good luck and go for it!

  • Jan,
That suitcase was a bargain wasn’t it? I have another one, twice as big that was also $2.00! My local supplier always looks after me!

  • Thank you for your lovely comments. I really enjoyed fiddling around with the layout. It was such a small space. I have will be having two or three tables next time!

  • Hi. Your stall looks so lovely. Can I ask how you print the designs on your cushions??? Or is it a secret? I would love to be able to make myself some custom designed cushions though I don’t know how to transfer the designs onto the fabric. Do you screen print or use transfer paper, or something else entirely? I love that churub design. Krissy.
