My Day…

Each day lately is mapped out in my diary with the build up to Niche in 9 days time.
I thought I would show you my day today, just for the sake of it.
My diary holds not only events and appointments, but things which inspire me that I pick up while I am out and about and around our home.
Today it was the lace I forgot I had and some old wooden buttons
…off to ‘work’ I went…

after that it was straight to work on my new sewing machine.
I must say 1 step buttonhole is amazing =0)

then off to print a small pile of covers

pick up the loads of scraps from the floor
…my office is a mess right now

a small reminder why I do all of this

heat set the new, finished covers.
Then start the after school madness of reading, dinner etc.
A simple day for me today, but
I do love it all.

  • Andie- I think it takes time to get used to jotting down your day in a planner. My days are crazy with the mix of fitness and interiors and the kids and if I didnt have it there to look at I would’nt be able to go from Designer to Instructor very well ;0) It reminds me of so much I would forget other wise.
Maybe you should give it another go…good luck.

  • Hola
I, too, have a Brother sewing machine (Xmas 2010!), and I, too, love the digital buttonhole happiness! Mine’s a Project Runway model — do you get that show in Australia? It’s one of my FAVES. xo

  • I think what I need is a daily planner. Oh, I don’t have a lot of important things to do, but I need more structure in my day to accomplish many of the things I need/want to do. Just seeing your planner sparked a great idea!! thanks!

  • Hi Ness,
I love your daily planner, it’s as pretty as the things that you create. It’s hard not to be happy when you are creating and making all things pretty.

  • Hi Ness, I love the beautiful linen of those cushion covers, and also love your little clay tags. I have just set up my own blog (www.hausstylish.blogspot.com) and I’ve put up a little post about your tags (hope you don’t mind)- I’ve found a great use for them. Thanks so much for your creative talents, they brighten my day x

  • Hi Ness,

I really loved this post. Sometimes, it’s easy to judge and not know what someone does in their day. No wonder you need a diary, I need mine too otherwise I’d forget everything!!

I love to see what inspires you too. I would also love to get the music the instructors use for their exercises. It’s so cool and varied…although when I enquired a few years ago, the instructor was saying how dear it is. I suppose that’s still the case?

    Hope you’re enjoying your week.

    Take care

  • What a wonderful creative day of your life! It seems that you have the same sewing machine as I have. We bought it about 6 weeks ago! 🙂 Do you think it was worth it? After sewing some bags, labels and other beautiful small things, I can say that it is not always easy but the results are simply gorgeous. It’s only a question of practice. A new day has just started. I hope it will be as creative for you as the last one. Enjoy it! Alexandra
