All Is Calm…

Today I had a little product shoot for Marley & Lockyer’s 2012 Christmas range.

I love these sorts of shoots, mainly because I love styling, but also because it is for Christmas, which those of you who have followed for a while, know how much I love Christmas time! I kept it pretty simple, grey linen, pine, boxwood, candles and a White Tip Deer antler. Don’t worry, these are naturally shed ones, so no Deer was harmed in the making ;0)

Above is the Divine Wing Plate. They have been selling like hotcakes and I am so happy that they are oven and food safe. They look great with a dark chocolate cake on them and a dollop of double cream…..

I also used some kraft paper and my new white pen. I have been using white pens on brown paper for a long time, but I got this wonderful new pen from Kikki K and it is perfect, so anything which is buff coloured has been getting written all over

…my style of graffiti!

Here you can see my ceramic feather tags and the new Tealights for 2012, which are glazed (food safe) on the inside and I have had some customers purchase these as little sake cups =0) These will be available in the online store from Wednesday and some of Marley & Lockyer’s lovely stockists already have them too.

Already, the planning has begun for my Christmas market displays and I am having a ball with that. I worked sooo hard this week that today was ‘play day’. Just sorting out display pieces, painting and this product shoot. I plan to go with a similar theme for our decorations this year at “The Old Lady” (our home).

Have you thought that far ahead yet? Or am I just a tad too excited?

    • Thank you so much. I love playing about with items for shoots. I get really inspired and usually new designs come of it. A colourful Christmas will be fun. I plan to add some small bits of colour, but it will mainly be neutral.
