The last few days have been a reminder of what is important to me….family!
My Husband, Mic, was in a horrible motorbike accident on Saturday where he could have lost his life. Went off the road and over the bike at 80 kms an hour and into a field. The call was gut churning! Amazingly, Mic walked away from hospital the next day with only, bruised lungs and a very bruised face and sore body…he is lucky to be alive.
So, the quote, “be the one that matters” is a reminder, of my family…they matter the most.
<3 I’m truly thankful to have them around me, especially Mic right now <3
what are you thankful for?

How awful for you….
Here’s to a speedy recovery for him! Life is precious.
Thank you. It certainly is precious xx
Oh Ness, how frightening! I’m so glad he is ok. We had a similar situation a few weeks ago, 3 days before I gave birth to our daughter my husband ended up in ICU, ventilated and completely sedated with Pneumonia, and subsequently missed her birth 🙁 Made me realise how much we need to cherish our loved ones as it was very scary!
Hope Mic recovers quickly.
Oh that is terrible! Hope he is ok now and congratulations on the birth of your little girl!
Thank you

Living in the UK we have a tv programme that shows the work of the air ambulance service! He is very lucky, motorbike accidents are awful, glad to see he is walking and at home! Your plate is a true testament to what truly matters in life.

Ness this story just gave me chills! My husband had a horrible motorcycle accident this past July so I know how scary this has been for you. I posted about it at http://1funkywoman.blogspot.com. Your husband is so lucky to be alive. He must have had his guardian angel with him throughout that. Thoughts and prayers to you and your husband on his recovery!

He is very, very lucky. He even mentioned that someone must be watching him…he knows how lucky he is to be here still.
Thank you so much and I hope you don’t get another scare like that again either xx
So glad that your husband is okay. His face looks painful. How scary.
Thanks Debby. I appreciate it xx
Ness, I am so glad that your husband is Ok. How scary to get that awful call. I wish him (and you) a speedy recovery.
Thanks Chania. I appreciate that xx
Know I’m thinking of you Ness.. soo happy he’s ok.. now.. about that bike?..
Thank you Jean. Yes, the bike…well it’s pulled to pieces, covered in a tarp and in the corner of the garage…for now =0(

Oh, so glad he is OK. And you – I know that feeling. Like everything is held in suspension. You can’t breathe.
My husband rides a powerful road bike too (Blackbird 1100), and I secretly wait in earnest till I hear him come up the driveway.
The traffic here is terrible and inconsiderate to bikes, so it’s a gamble every time.
Your beautiful wee plate is indeed an inspirational reminder 🙂
It is scary when he leaves, hoping he will return ok, but he has been riding for so long, maybe I thought it wouldn’t happen to him. Life is so fragile and I am so glad he is ok. I cherish that each day =0)
Thank you Vicki. Hopefully your Husband returns each time unharmed…silly bikes.

His guardian angel was with him on that day. He is one of the fortunate ones. Hope Mic has a speedy recovery. It is very scary getting a phone call like that. My best friend was in a motorbike accident back in april she lost her partner and now she may lose her leg. Best wishes sent your way 🙂
Oh that’s terrible. It was a gut churning phone call, but it hasn’t deterred him and he is sorting out parts as I type…grrr! I will have no hair by Christmas!!
Thank you for your well wishes. He certainly is being looked after by someone up there.
