Monday in pictures…

How was your Monday?

For me, it involved the start of a crazy  brilliant idea of starting a huge clean out of our house.

and giving the studio a tidy up.

The day went rather fast and I started to sort through a whole room of ‘stuff’ we have collected over the years. Lot’s of decorator pieces and vintage items…but it has to go. I don’t do clutter well at all and if I haven’t used it, it goes. So I started making a pile of pieces to ‘donate’ to my Sister which she will pick up during the week – one pile down!

Then there will be the keep pile and the op shop pile…I imagine there will be a throw out pile too.

Next up will be the Kitchen pantry where I store lots of ironstone and my white crockery pieces. I plan to put some out on display. More about that soon.

Hope your Monday went well.

  • Hi Ness,

Love seeing your images of your gorgeous home! There’s something to be said about a good tidy up. Maybe that’s because I’ve just caught an episode of ‘Hoarders’ my goodness I could never be a professional that holds their hand trying to coax them out of their collection of cardboard boxes. I’d be tearing my hair out yelling at them to ‘Just throw it out already #@*&’. Don’t you just love my potty mouth!!!haha My home is not how I want it looking at the moment. I’ve been so busy with bookwork and we have an audit tomorrow – I have to say the amount of information they want is completely rediculous (probably not spelt the right way but it’s too late in the night for a dictionary). I could think of better things to spend my time on…..family and home. Anyway, as soon as I get a chance I will be giving this place some TLC too. Love the last image btw!!!

Hope you have a great day tomorrow, whether it’s re-arranging or spending the day with family.

    Take care

I’m with you there. That show makes my skin crawl. I could not live like that…love seeing the floor too much lol!
Hopefully your audit goes well and is painless.
      Have a great day

  • Hi Ness
Have been following your blog for a while and may I say Great Work. Your style is very similar to mine and I’m soooo envious of your finds, Tassie seems like a treasure trove for good stuff. Because our styles are alike I was hoping you might be able to help me. I’m trying to find a supplier of luggage tags that aren’t a horrible buff colour but have more a recycled paper look.

I’m a ceramic designer and botanical dyer in Sydney and need to organise some swing tags for my products and can’t seem to find quite what I need.

Thanks so much for taking the time to help and keep those blog posts coming.

    • Hi Elisa,
      Thank you very much!
I can’t think of anywhere off the top of my head that sells other colours in luggage tags. Have you tried places like Little Paper Lane, Chibrun, or maybe even having a paper maker make the colour you want? May be your best bet to get the right colour you are after.
      Thanks again and good luck.
