So, it’s been a busy few days here in the studio, getting ready for the pop up shop at Sundays The Market in Hobart. I have been busy doing some final jobs and organizing how I am going to style the room I have been assigned…8 x 10 meters to be exact…
I may be panicking it is a huge space. Today I finished some of the Cinematic Ampersand Lights, some were sent off to customers and the rest will be with me on Sunday. They are a lot of work, but I really enjoy them.
For a change in pace after I finished off the lights, I got to dig into the vintage linen stash
that is consuming my office to sew some new cushions. I am loving this squishy, thick velvet corduroy. Some of these will make it to the online store after the pop up shop is over…I need everything to fill that room
…a little sneak peek of some of what I made today…
…but first, we dashed off to the vet with our puppy, Kodah. I came out from sewing to give her some more food and she looked like the Elephant Man…stung by a wasp. This is her after two injections of antihistamine. The swelling was so bad she could barely see. It’s nearly back to normal this evening…poor pup!
I don’t know about you, but the day before grocery day is terrible. We seem to have nothing left with two hungry boys, Mic and the dogs…so I baked. These little cupcakes were made with rice milk and 80% cacao chocolate…so good…
…and some vegemite and cheese scrolls…all bound for lunch boxes tomorrow…well, some never made it past the picture!
Then it was off to bootcamp
Finally, I have started to photograph the new range of bowls, and while I was using my wedding rings as a prop, I noticed the little engraving we had done for our wedding bands when we got married…mine says “Always…Mic -6.6.98″…I love it
