Great Press Pieces…and some fire!

It’s been such an amazing week with some great press for Marley & Lockyer which has brought with it some wonderful opportunities to write, style and photograph. There hasn’t been so much styling going on lately as Marley & Lockyer has taken me on a wonderfully busy path, so it was nice to do that again. I wrote this “Meet The Maker” piece for Tickle The Imagination Magazine, which has just been released. If you don’t know of this magazine, it started out as an online publication, but has now moved to printed copies…and all about handmade goodness. Thank you so much to Tanya and the team for making me look good xx

Just today, the very lovely and stylish, Jen Bishop, owner of the well known Interiors Addict blog, wrote a great blog post about my work. Jen is an Interior Designer, who has moved to full time blogging with Interiors Addict and is the founder of the always inspiring #7Vignettes on Instagram. If you are on Instagram, (I love it) then this challenge is a must do. It goes for 7 days, with a theme each day…and you style a vignette to suit that theme. Jen gets some amazing judges, the likes of Darren Palmer, Kara Rosenlund, Steve Cordony and many others to help her choose the winner of each challenge with amazing prizes up for grabs. The next challenge starts on the first of May. Jen can be found by her username @interiorsaddict. My username is @marleyandlockyer…in case you are on there…come say hi so I can follow you.

The new Embroidery Range has been a hit and I released a little sneak peek of the as-to-be-released “Village Range” with these spoons…that sold out as soon as they were loaded. I have some more press coming out very soon, which I am quite excited about and I will keep you posted on that.

This week has been a little crazy with our boys on School holidays and trying to fit in preparation for Finders Keepers in Sydney and the Launceston Boutique markets, but I am plugging away whenever I get some time. The weather has certainly changed here in Tasmania and the evenings are getting dark early…and colder.

I honestly don’t mind at all, as I have always been a homebody, a cocoon-er. Our big old fire in the kitchen has been lit. It really is the heart of our home. All of a sudden I am bringing out the warm knit throws for the sofa, adding knitted cushions in greys and sands…

…and bringing out the warmer clothing. I love dressing for the colder months…nothing like layering. That there in the background is my antique french Horn I will be showing you some more of soon. It’s going in the new re-do space I spoke about last post…it is gorgeous. I have some other vintage and antique pieces that will be going with it and I am looking forward to showing you.

Hopefully you will check out the press pieces I have done and leave a comment to support these amazing Australian media sites…and keep warm lovelies xx
