Marley & Lockyer Autumn/Winter Photo Shoot…peek!

grow1M&L

Preparations are well underway for the upcoming Sydney Finders Keepers Markets on the 31st May/1st June, and even though I should be doing nothing but making for this event right now, I made some time to do a photo shoot of products from the range for Autumn/Winter 13.

These new ‘grow’ plates and bowls have not been released in store yet…but will be very soon. I love the simplicity of them.

M&Ljewelry

Some of the current range made an appearance, like the Peony Porcelain/Wood Ring, the Provence Pendant Necklace and the little Bunny Brooch…shown here with those buns I posted about here.

My model for the day was Sarah, who some of you might recognize from the Marley & Lockyer market stall.

I really wanted this shoot to be relaxed, just like Sarah was at home doing her thing on a lazy Autumn weekend. Here is the Geo Porcelain/Wood Ring and the ceramic Pod Drop earrings. Sarah really has beautiful hands…not like my poor ceramic bashed hands!

These necklaces – the Pod Necklace will only be available at the upcoming Boutique Launceston Market and the Sydney Finders Keepers markets.

Love this shot. I think it captures the whole Autumn/Winter feel I was after

This ceramic brooch, which is still un-named looks great on my big cowl that Sarah has on. I do need your help with that name….

One of you, who picks the name that I love, will win this brooch and the earrings shown!

If you have a name for it, please leave it in the comments section and I will pick a name…I wouldn’t mind hearing what you think of the photo shoot sneak peak too please.

  • Very ethereal photo shoot. All lovely and soft. For a name, I’d suggest “A darling bud in May” partly inspired by the television show of a similar namesake and also as it featured in May. Best of luck with the Finders Keepers Market!

  • I have to admit that I was doing a quick scroll through and thinking “oh yes, Love the ceramics, beautiful texturing on the plates…” but the brooch stopped me short. Very fine and delicate and super glissy. It was only as I whizzed past it, backed up to have another look, then read the text under it to see what it was called…so I call it “AMELIA”

How about calling your broach “full bloom” or ” the full bloom” in french i think it translates to “le plein fleur” which would also be a lovely name.

  • Lovely brooch! I thought of the name “Sakura”, which means “cherry blossom” in Japanese. I live in the Niagara area where the fruit trees are blossoming just now. It’s my favourite time of the year to go for a drive through the farmlands and see thousands of pink and white blooming trees.

  • Hi I just adore your blog & images. I don’t normally comment but always check in to look at your gorgeous photos and home. I felt compelled to tell you that I think the brooch is ‘Celeste’. I have no idea why this name popped into my head but it did! I then looked up the meaning & here it is! : Celeste comes from the Latin word caelestis, meaning “heavenly” or “divine.” Celeste is the French variation of the name. Seems quite fitting 🙂 Bec

  • Hey Ness,
I was going to suggest ‘Autumn Bloom’ but after reading all the posts it seems we all have the same ‘bloom’ idea!!!!! You have so many wonderful and fitting suggestions to chose from. I don’t know how you’ll pick the winner!
I went in and saw Jim at Fossil Vintage. He is such a helpful man and has the most amazing treasures. I finally found the typewriter and galvanised watering can (as well as a few other treasures) I had been looking for. I told him you recommended him to your followers.
