Planning A Natural Christmas….

Hey there! Are you thinking about Christmas yet? I am. After working on the Christmas ’13 range since March, it has been on my mind for…well, a while. On the weekend past, I attended the Launceston Boutique Market with the new stall layout. It worked so well that I am bringing it with me to the Sydney Finders Keepers Market in December!

While I was working on the new display, I started to think about our own homes theme for this year. I don’t follow colour trends and have always loved classic colour palettes and after working on the product shoot (here’s one of the shots of my ceramic bells)…I decided what it would be….

Natural linens, antlers (naturally shed ones), lots of fresh greenery, wood, glass, silver and loads of white…and lights. I’m keeping the Divine Wing Platter that was the first to come out of the kiln, and this will hold the main Christmas fare.

It’s a palette that has never failed me yet and I am thinking of adding some hints of copper from some of my vintage copper pieces.

I’m hoping to have some of my new Fraser dinner plates on the table too. These ones in the bigger size have yet to hit the store. I managed to get them photographed, ready for the next update and my guilt free Banana cake looked perfect on it.

One things is certain…my little ceramic bells are going to hold the name places…I found that by accident…like you do!

…and it is no secret that I love to wrap…and Christmas will also be done with a simple, classic style. Lot’s of white paper and brown paper that our boy’s can stamp, silver and linen ribbons and a simple sprig of green.

I am looking forward to having a full home of Family and want the setting to be understaded…but beautiful.

What are you planning?

  • My teenage daughter and I have been having this same discussion over the last couple of days.
We decide on a theme and carry that through all of our christmas celebrations.
Like you, it has nothing to do with trends but more about what we love.
As yet no decision has been made but I will need to get cracking!!
    Loving the bells 🙂

    • I love more real themed Christmas decor. Not only does it look beautiful but it’s warm and welcoming. Taking a leaf from the French and Scandinavian homes. Good luck deciding and thank you.
