Slow Summer Days…

Hi there…

Hope you have been a nice week. I’m still in holiday mode…well sort of. Besides getting the new years range underway, we have been having a massive purge in our home – inside and out.

Outside, we have decided to cut our big 6m x 5m deck in half. That may seem crazy, but the area you can see that is dirt, will join on to the area that we have our fire pit in. There are loads of changes happening to this area…which do not include lawn. Our little back door porch had the sides covered in, which have now gone, as well as our air conditioner. We never used it as we love the heat of the wood fire and our French doors down the side of the house capture those sea breezes perfectly in Summer.  So the back of the house will get a fresh coat of paint shortly as well as a new back door. We have mapped out our garden beds for out here and worked out what we will be doing over the next few weeks…so exciting to be doing more outside finally.

Please excuse the renovation plastic chairs. They will not be there for long!

I have  been able to have a purge in the studio too…still more to go, but I have been ruthless with display props, market props etc as I need a change every now and then…and I then get to pick up ‘new’ pieces…Seeing my work tools, always makes me smile.  think it’s the palette of soft white, wood and silver that gets me every time.

Still a lot to do before School goes back in a few weeks and I get stuck into 2015 for real…but for now its all about lazy mornings, busy afternoons and relaxed evenings with our family.

…the way it should be 🙂

  • I love this time of year too, even though I’m still working.

I’ve got two days to go before before we head off on our annual beach getaway…can’t wait…and when I return I’ll be having a huge purge too and clean up too. That’s when my New year really starts.
    Take care Ness
