Early Winter Days….

Well, it’s here….Winter that is.

She has thrown herself in with loads of enthusiasm this year

Most mornings there has a been a thick blanket of frost/ice covering the Tamar Valley, which means, freezing cars to de-ice every morning…that’s if the outside taps aren’t frozen too!

even the house windows on the side that doesn’t get the sun until mid morning have had frost…it makes it hard to get out of bed if the fire has gone out over night, let me tell you.

…but, on the side that does get the morning sun…it’s wonderful.

Mic and I still have some recovery time left before we start work again, so we have been enjoying sitting  and planning a few things…actually big things…that will be happening to our home soon now that he has so much energy.

The old wood pile has been getting a workout with these frosty cold days. I do love our old wood heater. Nothing beats the heat…warms your bones…your soul.

While we have been discussing and drawing plans for our home projects, I have been collecting lots of inspiration from some of my favourite homes in Tasmania. This one here is on the list of places I would “move into tomorrow”. It’s a stunning old Georgian home, that has been restored perfectly…and even has hydrangeas lining the driveway…what’s not to love?

Quite a big weekend ahead, so we will be loading the fire, re-filling the tea pot and probably doing some more planning!

Enjoy your weekend  ~Ness xx
